Are you content with where God has you right now?
You might be very frustrated with how things are going, and you may feel like you’ve made very little progress, or none. Sometimes we just want to give up when we feel like all hope is lost.
But we can’t give up if we want to transform. So, where does hope come from? Believe it or not, suffering we endure is the beginning of a chain reaction that ends in hope.
“….we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.” Romans 5:2-5
When we go through hard times, we have two choices: We can either have self-pity and impatience, or, we can look at our trials as a way God of building our character.
Think about the worst moment in your life. What has changed about you since that moment and how has that provided you hope in the future?
Is there really such a thing as a lost cause, or is there always hope? Again, our answer to that question depends on the trust we have in God’s promises for our lives.
“Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.” Hebrews 10:23
