About Us

Lifeblood Reentry video-based curriculum is the foundation for Lifeblood Support Group Meetings and Reentry Groups inside and outside of correctional facilities in the United States, Australia, and Hong Kong. The Lifeblood curriculum is produced by Five Stone Media, a 501c3 non-profit organization formed in 2007.

The mission of Five Stone Media is to use STORY to bring HOPE and HEALING to those in need of CHANGE. Everything we do is done through the filter of those four words.

Our Projects

Turnipseed Film Trilogy – John Turnipseed is a former gang leader, pimp and drug dealer, who spent his childhood battling demons brought on by a volatile, abusive Father in a 20 year journey. John has transformed into a community leader, pastor, speaker, and serves as the Executive Vice President of Urban Ventures Leadership Foundation, a non-profit set in the heart of the same Minneapolis, Minnesota gang territory that John and his family terrorized.

John’s life-changing turnaround fueled his passion for rebuilding relationships between fathers and their families. Starring accomplished actor Lawrence Gilliard, Jr. as John Turnipseed, the Turnipseed Trilogy explores first the relationship between John and his Father, then what John did with his “Second Chance”. And finally, the relationship between John and his own son, as he defines his “Legacy”. Learn more or order the DVD here

Lifeblood Reentry Curriculum – Lifeblood for Men and Lifeblood for Women are innovative video-based discussion groups designed to bring hope, healing and change for those affected by incarceration. Each 1.5 hour session introduces a theme through powerful storytelling of former inmates with shared experiences who have found total life transformation and successfully navigated the transition from incarceration. Lifeblood sessions provide participants opportunities to learn from each other’s experiences and to think differently about their lives in order to bring about real, actionable change.
